Escaping for a while
Light works only at night, and you must pay wifi (if you want it)
You can really escape a little bit from technology, and also it's pretty close to Lopes Mendes beach

Awesome location, near a beautiful and restful beach. Staff is great, Glauco and his family made us feel very welcome. The pousada is cozy and cute. This kind of places is why we love backpacking the most!! So much better than the big fancy hotels where friends have their holidays. Loved it!

Chilled out, family feel
It was quite basic for the price and the kitchen facilities weren't the best, but the general atmosphere made up for it.
The staff, glauco and jaqueline, were incredibly welcoming, made you feel part of the family. Kids running round and a cute puppy!

The place to be for those searching for some peace in beautiful nature
Not much mosquito protection (net or so) in the dorm room, you'd better rely on repellent spray. No vegetarian or vegetable-lover options are available on the beach bar menus so bring your helthy treats from the big grocery store at Angra (right at the ferry station).
Watching the sunrise at Acorde's doorstep and paddling towards the Sun on a paddle board at 6:24 am is unforgettable!! The location (Palmas Beach) is remote enough -only a handful of other tourists were staying there- while well connected via tracking trails and taxi boats. Paying by master card and visa is possible, mobile networks can be cought randomly. Locals are very friendly and helpful.
